Closed Doors, Open Windows (with Greg Nettle and Wes Lynch)
“My issue is reaching the lost. I don’t want to be the one who is shuffling the saints. I truly want to reach the lost. And that mentality is just not understood in the culture and context where we’re living.” (Wes Lynch)
“Here’s a guy who’s ready to launch a church. Why did this happen?” (Wes Lynch)
“The only way I got through it was by the love of Christ. We have a fight or flight syndrome – we could have just abandoned everything. But God calls us to do neither – He calls us to surrender.” (Wes Lynch)
Wes Lynch Bio
Wes, his wife, April, and their children Lucas, Jensen, and McKenna are native to Union City, IN. They have a love for the people in their community and strong ties to Greenville, OH. Wes grew up in a Christian home and put his faith in Jesus at a young age and recalls feeling called to be a pastor at the age of 7. He resisted that call for some time as he pursued a career in law enforcement. It wasn’t until after the birth of his oldest son, Lucas, that he put all of his faith in Jesus and accepted the call into ministry.
Wes has worked as a youth pastor, director of student ministries, worship director, and assistant pastor. He has always enjoyed building relationships with others and dreaming big dreams. He recently accepted God’s call on his life to plant a church in Greenville and has enjoyed seeing his dreams pale in comparison to God’s BIG plans. He loves seeing the Church be the hands and feet of Jesus and lives by the mantra “You may be the only Jesus someone sees.”He enjoys spending time with family, anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, sports of all kinds but especially the Indianapolis Colts, and loves seeing God show up in big ways each day.
