Just read this . . . “An Italian celebrity chef was fired from his cooking show last week for recommending stewed cat as a ‘succulent dish.’ Beppe Bigazzi, 77, said that cat stew was a famous recipe in his home region of Valdarno, Tuscany. ‘I’ve eaten it myself and it’s a lot better than many other animals,’ he told viewers. ‘Better than chicken, rabbit or pigeon.’ After a flood of calls and letters from outraged cat lovers, the public broadcasting station RAI dropped Bigazzi from the show Ready Steady Cook.”
They should have given him a raise!
This may be a little over the edge. I am no big fan of cats either, but I find this distasteful – No pun intended.
good idea to stew ’em but skip the eating. lol
I agree with a church planter that was speaking in the morning service as he expalined how much he disliked cats. He said something like when you get to hell they say, “Welcome to hell, here’s your cat.”
THAT IS JUST SICK GREG I HOPE YOUR KIDDING
never had a cat… probably would name him target!
I believe that cats are one of God’s most beautiful and perfect creations. God loves cats.
Yes, I am very much a cat lover. My various feline pets throughout my life have helped me (along with God) through many difficult times by their unconditional love and affection.
I really don’t find this funny nor appropriate for this venue.
Been visiting Rivertree and thinking about joining, but now I’m not so sure that’s where God wants me.
This is very disturbing, disheartening, offensive and not at all “funny”. Why would you post something like this on a Christian church-linked blog?? It would be bad enough if I read something like this on a secular site/blog!
Hi Laura,
Honestly, I was just kidding . . .
g
Distasteful and unnecessary thing to put on a Christian website. Odd.
As for the people that eat Cats and dogs in third world countries, Some people in the world are hungry, and will eat anything to survive! Especially a 77 yr old man in Tuscany, who was probably describing what they ate after WWII!
If I remember correctly The cattle and what not were being shot in the fields and blown up. And they had a meat shortage living in the aftermath of war.
I find war, and starvation to be offensive. A joke I can handle, children going to sleep with no food or clean water, Well that fires me up!!
