I have been journaling for the past thirty years. Wow, that’s a lot of writing!
Here’s why I continue:
*Journaling helps me put things in perspective. When I write, I gain clarity of thought.
*Journaling helps me jettison a lot of emotional baggage. I talk to God about what I write.
*Journaling gives me a record of where I’ve been. At the end of every year I read through the previous year’s journal. It’s amazing to watch how God has been at work in my life.
*Journaling leaves a record for my children. By God’s grace, my children will learn from, be encouraged by, and both laugh and cry at my life of adventure.
Inspirational and a good reminder why it’s important to journal. Greg, I love what you’ve shared in the past about what you put at the beginning of each journal…There’s nothing more important I can do today than to build my relationship with God. (I’m not sure of the exact words…but that’s the takeaway for me…and it’s so true!) May God continue to bless you through your journaling.
